We quickly discovered a joy in our online conversations, which naturally blossomed into a first date at a San Diego hockey game. Though neither of us knew much about hockey other than the occasional on-ice brawl, and of course, the beer, we found ourselves simply lost in conversation. From that night on, our connection deepened with each passing date. It felt as though we'd known each other for a lifetime, not just a few short weeks. Before we knew it, our hearts expanded even further with the arrival of our sweet baby boy, Carter.
